Advice

I can do a lot when I am named to establish a university by Baruch College via new media. One is to have a forum where students can hold talks, regardless of what they do. As a Baruch undergraduate, when you're a commuting school, it's rare that you interact with others. It's the same when you go in classrooms and I never deal with Weissman students as a Zicklin graduate without becoming an optional liberal artist.

The use of social media to chat about Baruch alumni 's accomplishments would be another idea. Creating a page where students can share their thoughts and how Baruch helped them will help undergraduates and graduates after graduation. It's also the case that undergraduates like me are first-generation graduates, and we don't have much advice about what to do after college. Being willing to communicate with Baruch Alumni can help Baruch students develop a background and make it their own.

Last but not least I would recommend that new students read about the community and host online tour guides. Moreover, incoming students will be able to communicate with existing learners to learn little items like when they can find food and when. When I was a freshman at Baruch, lunch before schools were complicated because everyone appeared to be launching concurrently. These guides will also present new students in the vicinity, not only inside the classroom. This will encourage the new students to get to know Baruch as a whole better.

  1. I like your recommendation to use social media platforms to connect current Baruch students with the Baruch Alumnus. This would benefit our community by allowing eager students, especially as you mentioned first generation graduates, to learn more about life after college and being able to see how their education can shape their future careers. The conversations with Alumnus on social media can not only educate our Baruch community, but it can also lead to mentor and mentee relationships or potential job opportunities. Additionally, I also liked your idea to create a forum for Baruch students in general regardless of which school (Zicklin, Weissman or Marxe) they attend. This is a great way for everyone to share their knowledge and be able to participate in a larger community. Building on your idea, I believe it would also be beneficial to get graduate students involved in this forum as well.
